At the turn of the century a new dawn in hosting emerged with the foundation of GearHost.  It was in the year 2000 when we embarked into the abyss that is the World Wide Web with a modest setup consisting of a laptop and our first server (Thetis was her name) all on a T1 link piped into the basement.

We have come a long way since our humble beginnings but we have not lost sight of our focus to provide the best possible hosting environment possible.  Even in the early days with limited capital and scarce resources we always found a way to provide quality service at a reasonable price.  We understood that if we listened to our customers and made adjustments to accommodate, we would end up on top. GearHost quickly realized that most hosting companies were cookie cutter impressions straight out of the box.  We understood that to actually meet the needs of our customers something must change.  So with years of development and customer influence GearPanel was borne, our exclusive control panel developed in house.  We listened to the developers, we listened to the basic user, and truth be told we enjoy providing resolution to the web users needs.  We honestly feel that is the key to our success.

Our past consisting of constant learning has shown us the path to success, we must lead through innovation.  Technology is always changing, needs are always changing, that is why we pride ourselves on pioneering the curve.  As result we have grown to over 50,000 websites and oodles of servers.  We have gone from a musty basement to a full tier 3 data center along with the full time staff dedicated to ensuring the quality our customers have come to expect.  We promise to always listen to the needs of our beloved customers.  We appreciate all of you have joined us along the way, and we say thank you to those of you who will join us in the future.  It has been a journey getting to this point, and we can’t wait for the future!
